Supplementary Information

Supplementary Information is the material directly relevant to the conclusions of an article that cannot be included in the printed version owing to space or format constraints. It is sent for peer-review along with the manuscript, so any such files should be uploaded as you (re) submit your manuscript using ScholarOne online submission system.

The article must be complete and self-explanatory without the Supplementary information. Supplementary information enhances a reader’s understanding of the manuscript but is not essential to that understanding. Supplementary Information is posted on the journal's website along with the article when the article is published and may consist of texts, data files, tables, figures or movies. Any supplemental material should be cited as a reference in the manuscript.

If supplementary files are movies, animators, or other separate non-text files, author should submit a text file to explain them (alternatively include a legend list as a separate supplementary file or combined them into text supplementary file).

On acceptance, the final version of the peer reviewed Supplementary information should be submitted in its FINAL form with the accepted manuscript. It can neither be altered, nor added content to, after the paper has been accepted for publication.

Sometimes, Supplementary Information does not come into play until a manuscript is resubmitted. When you resubmit a manuscript, you will be given the opportunity to include Supplementary Information files.

Please note that direct online submission has a limit on the size of uploaded files or packages (currently 30 MB) - please use compression wisely when uploading your files. The video is recommended to be in the .mp4 format.
